The official website for the television anime adaptation of Tsutomu‘s Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. (Older Men Like Cute Things) manga announced on Friday that the series will premiere on October 4, alongside the release of a new key visual and additional cast announcements.

The anime is scheduled to premiere on Tokyo MX on October 4 at 10:00 p.m., with subsequent broadcasts later that evening on BS Asahi and on YTV starting October 5.

Tomoe Makino (The Moon on a Rainy Night; Kotaro Lives Alone; Please Put Them On, Takamine-san!) is directing the project at LIDEN FILMS. Yū Satō (Kotaro Lives Alone; Sorairo Utility; Please Put Them On, Takamine-san!) is handling the series composition, while Tomomi Kimura (Kotaro Lives Alone) provides the character designs.
Additional staff members feature Takamasa Nakakuki as art director and Akira Hashigami as color key artist. Tomoya Hosaka serves as director of photography, and Kiyomi Yamada edits the series. Sound direction is managed by Fumihiko Ōtera, with Magic Capsule producing the sound. Arisa Okehazama is composing the musical score, with production handled by YTE and assistance from Futokoro Gatana.
The story centers on Mitsutaka Oji, a 40-year-old corporate worker who projects a cool, sophisticated, and highly competent image to those around him. Beneath his polished exterior, however, lies a heavily guarded secret: he harbors an absolute adoration for cute, tiny things. This comedy manga chronicles his everyday adventures as he balances his professional life with his hidden passion.
Tsutomu initially debuted the manga on Flex Comics‘ Comic Polaris platform in July 2017. Flex Comics published the 11th compiled book volume on February 14, and the 12th volume is slated for release on August 7. Furthermore, the 13th volume has been listed as the final book in the series and is scheduled to ship on October 15.
Previously, the manga inspired a live-action television series adaptation in 2020.
