Sailor Moon Debuts Ultra-Rare Chibiusa Design Limited to Just 100 Worldwide

Fans of Sailor Moon have an exciting new collectible to track down, as FiGPiN has officially launched its Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Mystery Mini Series 2. The standout prize of this release is an ultra-rare, all-gold Chibiusa pin that is strictly limited to only 100 copies worldwide.

Following a special preview at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, the Sailor Moon R-inspired mystery pin collection is now live on FiGPiN’s official website. Fans can purchase individual 1.5-inch enamel pins in blind boxes for $9.99 each, or opt for full sealed display boxes.

Featuring 14 distinct designs pulled straight from the aesthetic of the classic ’90s anime, the lineup spans several rarity tiers, though the limited-edition gold Chibiusa reigns supreme as the ultimate collector’s goal.

Scoring Sailor Moon’s Rarest New Chibiusa Pin Demands a Complete Collection

Unlike the rest of the assortment, the solid gold Chibiusa pin cannot simply be found inside a random mystery box. To earn the right to redeem this exclusive piece, collectors must first register the set’s four Common, two Rare, and two Super Rare pins through the official FiGPiN app. The four glow-in-the-dark Uncommon variants and the standard Hyper Rare Chibiusa are optional and not required to unlock the reward.

The 14-piece collection is organized across six different tiers. Common entries feature Sailor Venus, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Mercury, with glow-in-the-dark variants of those same heroines making up the Uncommon category. Sailor Moon and Sailor Pluto fill out the Rare slots, while Luna P and Neo Queen Serenity are classified as Super Rare. Chibiusa acts as the collection’s standard Hyper Rare find before fans work toward claiming the grand-prize gold variant.

Bringing this collection to life has been nearly a year-long journey. The community first caught wind of Mystery Mini Series 2 in late 2025 before promotional images were briefly taken down at the request of Toei Animation. BoxLunch later opened official preorders in June 2026 leading up to its convention debut, with retail rollouts slated for October.

This drop arrives hot on the heels of FiGPiN’s SDCC 2026 convention-exclusive Super Sailor Chibi Moon pin, which marked the brand’s first brand-new full-sized Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon design in nearly three years. While that limited 500-piece variant was restricted to convention attendees, the new mystery series gives a broader audience a chance to acquire franchise favorites, including brand-first FiGPiNs for Neo Queen Serenity, Luna P, and Sailor Pluto.

The Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Mystery Mini Series 2 is available now through the FiGPiN online store for $9.99 a box, with expanded retail availability via BoxLunch planned for later in the year.
